Arti Fiati - High Wycombe

We are a group of amateur musicians playing cornetts , sackbuts and curtals that meets every two or three weeks in High Wycombe. We call ourselves Arti Fiati and play music from circa 1600, often from Venice but from many other places in Europe.
We play instrumental canzonas but also enjoy playing vocal music, as was often done by wind players of the period.

The group was founded by the late David Fletcher.

New members welcome to come and try a session. It isn’t a regular commitment and not everyone comes to every rehearsal.

One of the pieces we played was this canzona by Giovanni Priuli (c. 1575 -- 1626)
You can hear a version of it here - not by us!
